Exquisite craftsmanship and functional elegance are combined to create the G.D.L. banjo. Patience and care go into cutting the many strips of multicolored abalone shell which are inlaid along side the ivoroid binding, trimming the figured walnut neck and burl walnut resonator. Intricate abalone and mother-of-pearl inlays adorn the ebony fingerboard and peghead. The peghead is triple-bound with white, black/white stripes on the face and side.
The G.D.L. features the original Deering bell bronze tone ring and zinc flange construction, all metal parts are nickel plated. Walnut gives you the blend of crisp clear tone with a beautiful touch of sweetness. The G.D.L. draws admiration for its vibrant beauty as well as the superior sound quality. |
