Enhance School Music & school band (Primary - Secondary) AMEB exams are available and our teachers have trained at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music & the Australian Institute of Music.

Our friendly teachers have police clearance checks for teaching children. Bass, ukulele & banjo lessons are also available.

Hamish MacMillan – Ass.Dip. Jazz Studies – Director / Instructor.

Hamish began playing guitar at 15 and has over 30 years teaching and playing experience. He has performed in blues, genres as well as rock & jazz. He studied Jazz at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and has conducted clinics and workshops on a wide variety of musical concepts. Hamish knows more scales than Guthrie Govan and specialises in blues and jazz improvisation.

Shane Lewis – B.mus – instructor.
Shane has 20 years of teaching experience, with a personalised method for each student based upon skill, aptitude and desire. He is classically trained with a Bachelor of Music and inspired from an early age to play an instrument, in his case a guitar. Some words from Shane: “I was creatively inspired by an enigmatic music teacher, I desire not only to play, but also to teach and share my inspiration with others.” Shane specialises in classical guitar, rock guitar, metal and bass guitar.

John Wardle – Instructor
John is a Co-ordinator at the Sydney Conservatorium and Australian Institute of Music. He has a background in cultural planning policy and helped change NSW liquor laws in removing the Place of Public Entertainment licence from legislation. This means more live music venues in Sydney - what a legend! John is a gigging musician, can usually be found rocking out at Tamworth Music Festival and specialises in country and fingerstyle.

Geoffrey White – Banjo instructor.
Geoff first grasped the banjo at age 11 and hasn't let go since. He is strongly influenced by Pete Seeger and began teaching in 1979 in the Southern USA and has performed and taught in Europe, Central America, the UK, New Zealand and Australia. He performs with The Spirit of the Land. Geoff knows lots about the banjo and specialises in Scruggs, two-finger mountain & Celtic techniques.
